Jenny Green

Jenny Green has been sculpting and exhibiting for 15 years.  In 2003, she saw the light and left her corporate career to undertake a BFA (sculpture) at the National Art School.  Since then she has been sculpting full time from her studio on Sydney’s northern beaches. Her work is typically abstract & figurative using steel, bronze and resin.

Jenny says of her sculptures, “I aim to capture a moment, a movement, a place.  Many of my sculptures are ‘drawings in space’ evoking both mood and action.”  While the media she uses may be industrial, her sculptures are light and airy. Her intent to capture an instant or a feeling is reflected in the tension between between space and material.

Jenny’s work  has been selected for the North Sydney Art Prize, Harbour Sculpture,  Sculpture in the Vineyards, the Blake Prize Director’s Cut,  Sculpture at Sawmillers and the Willoughby Art Prize. Her work is represented in corporate, public and private collections and she has won several prizes. Jenny is also an active member of the Sculptors Society and was President for five years.
