Jane Bennett

Award-winning artist Jane Bennett is renowned for her plein air paintings of Sydney Harbour’s industrial and maritime heritage.

She has held 44 solo exhibitions since 1986, displayed her work in many selective group exhibitions & has won over 200 art prizes.

Jane has been a finalist 11 times in the prestigious Wynne Prize for Landscape Painting, winning the Pring Prize for Watercolour at the Wynne Prize for Landscape Painting 3 times in 1990, 1995 & 1996 & also winning the Art Gallery of NSW Trustees’ Prize for Watercolour at the Wynne Prize in 1995.

Jane has also been 3 times a finalist in the equally prestigious Sulman prize for Genre & History Painting, & a finalist 8 times in the Dobell Prize for Drawing held in the Art Gallery of NSW.
